ARE YOU GOING to upgrade to Office 2003? The delayed Office 2003 was supposed to have recently gone to manufacturing and Microsoft has supplied a list of features it supports that its previous Voleware didn’t.One feature that will annoy moles everywhere is that Office Professional Edition will protect email addresses and files from unauthorised copying, forwarding or printing. The difference between Office Pro and Office Amateur is that with the latter you can read authorised files.
Microsoft claims that its email services have been improved to block “questionable” email messages and has better junk mail filtering. We do hope that MS has also fixed that bloody annoying bug in Outlook that means you have to create new .PST files from time to time, and that the search function is faster than before.
It claims that synchronisation is better in Office 2003, and – important one this – claims that it’s backward, sideways and forward compatible with Office XP, Office 2000 and Office 97 files.
