Firefox 3 is focused on improved memory handling, performance, and stability, improved XUL, and new core components such as application data stored in SQLite. Firefox 3 could break a few existing extensions and applications built on top of Firefox, and it will definitely include new optimizations if you like to build on the popular browser. Firefox 3 should have additional JavaScript and SVG features if you're into that sort of thing.

As All PreRelease of FireFox 3.0 Alpha its Code Name is also MineField. Its Based on Gecko 1.9 Alpha 6

It would be wise to wait for the Final release as many Extensions will be disabled in this Pre version. FF is on the right track, though, way ahead of Internet Exploder! :)

I don't understand why you guys post all these lame Rapidshare links, when all you have to do is download from the original site. Seems futile and a waste of your time, unless your hunting for points. I guess there are lamers on every site! :)

is ff 3 (even if it's on its alpha version) able to solve the infamous memory problem?

you can easily get 100's and even 200's of memory consumed by ff 2.0.0.4 if you open many tabs,
even if you don't have that many extensions installed, like me, I have just 8:

So, my suggestion is that,
either you wait until ff developers solve memory problems or install maxthon
