Mozilla Firefox - faster, more secure, easier to use and sporting a new look, this latest Firefox release sets a new standard for web browser innovation. Mozilla Firefox project (formerly Firebird, which was formerly Phoenix) is a redesign of Mozilla's browser component, written using the XUL user interface language and designed to be cross-platform. It is small, fast and easy to use, and offers many advantages over other web browsers, such as the tabbed browsing and the ability to block pop-up windows.

i hope nobody installs this piece of crap as it f**ks up your existing installation of Firefox if you install it in the default directory as I Was stupid enough to do

Can you say whats trouble with this? Default directory is 'Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta' (if not present some previous version)

I don't think this is the real Beta1, according to the URL, this is a nightly build. But I do think, we will get the real Beta1 real soon now. for real. :)

Under standard development conventions, softare moves:
Alpha->Beta->ReleaseCandidate
It can't be both, so suspect this post.

in reply to mkvlad there was a existing installation which was overwritten creating new shortcuts and disabling every plugin possible
uninstalled it took beta 1 and firefox 2.0.0.9 along with it
which forced me to reinstall 2.0.0.9
not really a big deal i just didn't think before i installed it
just warning people don't do what i did
