This version includes several security and stability fixes, including a fix for a reported buffer overflow vulnerability and a fix for a Linux shell command vulnerability.Specific changes in Firefox 1.0.7
* Fix for a potential buffer overflow vulnerability when loading a hostname with all soft-hyphens * Fix to prevent URLs passed from external programs from being parsed by the shell (Linux only) * Fix to prevent a crash when loading a Proxy Auto-Config (PAC) script that uses an "eval" statement * Fix to restore InstallTrigger.getVersion() for Extension authors * Other stability and security fixes

There's still 1 thing they havent fixed yet. When viewing a webpage
that has gif images or animated flash, Firefox still uses high cpu
usage. Come on Firefox's crew, is that problem too hard for u to fix ?
<__<
Well... right now here on 9down.com are 2 flash banners and my CPU usage is under 2%...

Mozilla has reacted to a Symantec report issued on Monday which said
serious vulnerabilities were being found in Mozilla's browsers faster
than in Microsoft's Internet Explorer. The study was conducted over the
first six months of 2005.
Tristan Nitot, president of Mozilla
Europe, hit back by claiming on Monday that when a vulnerability is
found Mozilla's "ability to react, find a solution and put it into the
user's hands is better than Microsoft."
He also argued that,
according to security company Secunia's statistics, the Microsoft
vulnerabilities were more critical, and had been so over a longer
timescale. In the period 2003 to 2005 Secunia have issued 22 security
advisories regarding Firefox 1.x, and rate it as "less critical". In
the same period Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x had 85 Secunia
advisories, and is rated as "highly critical".
Nitot likened the
differences between Firefox and IE vulnerabilities as being like
injuries: "Which would you prefer, to have a broken finger, or your
head ripped off?"

Forget firefox useOPERA 8.5. Its way better than firefox. Opera has all. Even opera now support bittrront tracker, img blocker, voice nevigation, IRC chat option and many more. So people why use IE or firefox. Just use opera it has alllllllllllllllll.
Just read my comment under the last Opera "free" release news, & you will find out why Opera sux to Firefox any given day! U stupid duma55, don't u kno u foolish dimwit, that Opera can't even support all the c00l features of Gmail? Tell me u mangy spawn 0f a rab!d b!tch, can u format your comments with bold, italics etc, while posting using Opera right here in 9Down? If u say u can, then u r the worst lieing bast4rd I've ever come accross. Have my flame-torch up your a55!
BitTorrent Tracker is a transparent web system used by BitTorrent clients to download files... for an ordinary browser it's useless! (just so you know and don't die an id!ot!)
When you say "it has all" it's like saying "hey! you just want do watch a movie that's coded with divx? Install a ACE Mega Codec Pack!" ... and fu.ck your system...
I preffer to use Azureus for BitTorrent, don't have much use for IRC and preffer Firefox for web browsing...
