Can anyone please tell me anything about these firefox versions , and/or what the diference is between them ? Gran Paradiso , Gekho , Bon Echo . Minefield ? Are they paralel developments of firefox versions from diferent teams ? Does anyone know which is "better" ? or "worse" ?

firefox 2 has several features absent in 1.5 (built-in session restore, improved RSS/Atom handling, modified tab interface, added security features)...the idea behind firefox 2.0 was to provide a few modest upgrades to firefox 1.5 in order to have a new product to compete with IE7
the problem with this is that the added features in 2.0 arent really that major. the biggest difference that the average end-user will notice is that the GUI is...umm....shinier. that and the fact that there is a noticeable increase in memory usage for FF 2.0. what this means is that for people who cant afford newer faster computers and dont want/need the new features in FF 2.0, version 1.5 is probably the better choice
one of the main projects for firefox 3 is reducing memory usage. so there are actually many people out there who will skip FF2 altogether and go from 1.5 to 3.0!
