Firefox is a free, open-source web browser for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X and is based on the Mozilla codebase. It is small, fast and easy to use, and offers many advantages over Internet Explorer, such as the ability to block pop-up windows.
Stable Release slated at end of year.

after how much testing will they release the final version. so bad still in alpha stage
They are making the final release perfect. They have added some really cool features, and do not expect any bugs to come with it. A sheer competence to out-n-out beat IE7.
