SeaMonkey is the new name of the formerly known Mozilla Application Suite. SeaMonkey is a free, cross-platform internet suite, whose components include a tabbed web browser, email and news client, Pop-Up Stopper, HTML editor, and an IRC client.

Not have a way for compare this to Firefox... Explain it in a easy way: Seamonkey is the best of all.

Firefox is a marketing product for the majority of people based on Mozilla Suite, Seamonkey is based in Mozilla Suite(maybe is the same with different name) and mantained by the users searching the best results/security with less importance for the "look and feel". Mozilla Suite is based in Netscape with the objective: Efectively, fast and secure, and this is the first, of course with much much less look and feel in comparison to Firefox.

Seamonkey is equal to the abandoned Mozilla Suite abandoned by the Mozilla Foundation and now named Seamonkey and upgraded and mantained by the users, only a new name. The Mozilla Suite is only updated for the security bugs and Mozilla Foundation not add new features to it, this is abandoned by the Mozilla Foundation and only updated for the security issues, this is not comparable to Seamonkey, Seamonkey is the future of the Mozilla Suite and is mantained by the useres.

The actual version of the Mozilla Suite is 1.7, and 1.8 for the alpha or beta(I not remember it exactly now), Seamonkey is based in the Mozilla Suite 1.8 and much much much much much much much much much much much much much more stable in comparison to the abandoned by the Mozilla Foundation: Mozilla Suite 1.8.

SeaMonkey is a Continuation of the previos version of mozilla i.e. the one pre firefox that reached up to version 1.8 biffore firefox vas born. SeaMonkey uses Firefoxes improved rendering and features like netscape 7 and mozilla 1.7 a email client and a wyswg html editor.
It's a nice brovser but I'ld still recomend firefox.

p.s. SeaMonkey isn't maintained by the mozilla foundation but by fans and of the old browser

If you use SeaMonkey with just the browser it seems so much faster than Firefox. Then use Thunderbird as the mail client. IMHO.

But thera are a lot less extensions for seamonkey the menu bar isn't custemizable it doesn't hava patch updates like firefox, an why wuld U use T.Bird when seamonkey has an identical email clien?

I loved the old mozilla but seamonkey is a dead horse

Yes a very big zoo. I seen the n00b december sign ups just shit rs links contents. Not many seem to like the page clean and useful for all. Just complain them enough till they stop. Have a nice holiday, be right back very sooon.

Obviously this child is a menace and should not be allowed anywhere near real people. 9down the continual attacks by this uagadugu warrants immediate termination of all access to this site. People should not and do not want to be subjected to children gone wild while their parents are either to drunk or stupid to manage their behavior.
Please ban and remove ASAP for the greater good of this site. Uagadugu is a disruption this place no longer should tolerate. Attacks such as his demonstrate a very low intelligence that everyone finds annoying and boring.
