Good detection is only one of many things that help to make the best AV.
NOD32 is the best all-around antivirus, period.
I am using Avira right now, sure, but I am just testing it out, and I like it, but it is not so good in other areas.

The best all-round AV is NOD32, period.
Avira is not too bad.
Both of these are miles away from the shit Kaspercrap.

Kaspershit can damage your NTFS filesystem, delete your explorer.exe so that you cannot boot, and give you bad breath like Anti-Smart.

So far NOD32 ESS has been the Best for me.

Eset smart is with internet security and antivirus .

I'm using a fix called Eset Break and it does exactly what the old Nsane fix did to 2.7 versions it extends the trial. My trial has like 24000 days left and it's been working for 2 or 3 weeks so far.

NODLogin 8.0 works on this version 3.0.642

1.Disable ESET real-time protection
(Setup -> Antivirus and Antispyware protection ->
Real-time file system protection -> Disable )


2. IT'S NOT NECESSARY to copy setup.exe to the Application folder

merely execute SETUP.EXE and choose "Normal"


3. Now some tweaking inside ESET - IMPORTANT!:
• In "Setup" Toggle to advanced mode
• click "Enter entire advanced setup tree"
• Go to "Exclusions" and click "Add"
• navigate to Nod installed folder (E.G. C:Program FilesESETESET NOD32 Antivirus)
• select the file "nodlogin" and click OK , OK and close.

Now restart your PC.

after the first reboot NOD says 30 days left
so this version is a trial........

The EmSaExT 1.0.0.1 patch works on XPPro with SP3 installed. Apter applying there is no expiration date & no trial period date! The only thing is - if you go into "Enter entire advanced setup tree...", you will need to reapply the patch. Strange but true.

EmSaExT 1.0.0.1 is a BIG stupid patch.

It only adds "http://www.nod32upd.do.am/v3/" for selected server in registry.
There is no any speciality of it.

U may use ekrnl.exe from 3.0.621 version. Soo u can use it for 25000 days.

Or u have to patch ekrnl.exe v:3.0.642 again to eliminate reading and writing day count.

Only way is ekrnl.exe. Other files are not neccesery. all "egui*.*" files are just Cosmetics.

ekrn.exe is using high cpu usage is because the internet usage by some torrent or downloader...
check out the web access option of http and remove non browser software...

for expiration date... ignore it.. change your pc date to future date.. u will see it won't lock down and keep updating

found out the user name and password i used cause the expire msg on the nod32/ess 10 March =) (username and password is needed last few week for trial server but not needed anymore)

remove the user name and password and update...

home edition cannot work on server...
that is the big different between them...

FYI, I completely uninstalled v642,rebooted, removed all traces (registry items too),reinstalled, killed egui, installed v1.2fix, rebooted and updated.

when eset update it show 30days trial,until update it show 31, and this will happened every time you restart your pc and update your eset!!!

Sorry but v1.2 works like a charm, even updating before website. Once "trial days remaining" dropped to 30 but since that time stays at 31.

First of all thanks for your work and sharing. I dl the nod32 eav business edition at your site. It was very easy to install and work just fine. The only thing that i´m curious about is how come there are no update servers in the update server list but it still updates automatic.

And can you explain a little more in detail how to check out the web access option of http and remove non browser software...Because i´m still confused. Thanx a lot.

Why no update server? Update server is also originally setup in registry with retail server.. but was replaced by trial server... so it won't expired and update server will keep let us update..only shown as Automatic in the nod/ess

About http web browser... F5 when opening nod/ess browse to web access protection.. http

It sounds good. One more thing. I used to use the manuall scan if i want to check some particular files but it seems that the business edition doesn´t have this feature. Is that right. Can i feel save to directly open a file that i have dl.

business edition do have this feature but i close it only... u may turn it on... see thru the setup there...
when nod/ess is protecting the pc... it is guaranteee it scan every file every website every e-mail on your daily use basis...
i have no doult to close the manual right click scan that takes space in my right click space...
u can set all setting to default as if u like..
the patch will work and keep updated as well..
why need manual scan since nod/ess will auto catch the virus silently... (this is my pack only)

Do you have any idea why your prepatch nod32 avi is not auto update any more. It still function normall a few days ago but now it stop at virus signature 2958. It shows that my antivirus is update. I´ve check all the update setup and they´re all in defaut mode. Maybe eset has done something in the virus signature update? I´m using your v.3.0642.
