NOD32 Antivirus System provides balanced protection against threats endangering your PC. Viruses, worms, and other malware are kept out of striking distance from your valuable data. Advanced detection methods implemented in the software provide protection against a great proportion of the worms and viruses that are still awaiting creation.

ZoneLabs Internet security suite is the best in the world. No other anitvirus can come even closer to it. The best firewall, and a solid security against virus, spyware, trojan etc etc..........................
So people don't go for any other antivirus, just go for Zonelabs if you want real security for your system.
Anybody agrees with me????????????? lemme know yeah!
yes i agree with you i been useing zone alarm for few years now. i enjoy the fact that my systems not booooggged with shitty antivirus software ..BUT i wont agree that its the best antivirus in the world but it pretty dame good
ARE OH EF EL... I'm not going to flame you here, because you don't give me a reason to, but I have to say I fairly disagree with you on that one. Zone-Alarm is widely laughed at by anyone who knows one or two or maybe even three things about basic security. The fun thing about that ZA-firewall is that it doesn't even report/bounce basic ping attacks. Sad fact, Zone-Alarm is almost as bad (its just a very little amount better) then the default WXP firewall. But hey... security is a very loose concept lately. In my humble opinion, if you want a DECENT antivirus, NOD32 is the only way to go. With its insane amount of heuristic update every day, I have yet to have see a machine I built come back infected. Hell.. it even picks up custum coded tools who are ment to be hidden... Take it from me, drop the Zone-Alarm as soon as possible if you want to have somekind of piece of mind (and a clean non-infected system).

Have a lot of thanks for the mirror!!! I already host 12 websites with these free proxy leecher but forget about it. People who do not need it to download from rapidshit use the proxies non stop to download parallel 2 and more files to the same time. Even the proxy solution will not more help to get a single file download if the real ip number is shared by ISP. It will not be a problem to wait but in last second another one already download somwhere from the same isp/province/satellite Internet Access etc.. This makes in impossible ever to download from Rapidshare. I guess Im not the only in this situation.
Thanks in advanced for the mirror!!!!

nod 32 is the best antivirus for all the others.
it find all the virus end e.t.c. worms.
but the patch is very difficult to find it. it is torrent or if you want to download it normally, you must upload some files from your computer.

Every time I upload a file using RAPIDSHARE, I can hardly avoid a war ! If I upload elsewhere, the threats remain the same with another population. HOWEVER, IT'S QUITE EASY TO DONLOAD FROM RAPIDSHARE. Let's believe in numbers... According to a recent check, they tell 3320 downloads for IDM and 4780 for FlashGet -related to RAPIDSHARE uploads that I made ONLY IN THE SCOPE OF MY 9DOWN'S MEMBERSHIP. Since the related links are not deleted, those numbers can be verified.
Would be NO UPLOAD AT ALL the right way to proceed ?

it keeps saying update is not nessesary while it didn't update at all yet, and it updates when I click manualy like 40 times on update now, I'v never had this problem with NOD32 while I use it since years.
hi there, FULL VERSION USERS GET PRIORITY when downloading definitions, sometimes servers are loaded, TRIAL VERSION USERS go on the second hand on this, so the best way to update if you are a TRIAL USER (if servers are loaded) is to hit update button as many times as you can until you can get the latest DEFINITIONS.

Re: NOD32 for Windows 2000/2003/XP/x64 2.51.30 by someguy on 2006-07-28 19:38:54
well kaspersky is realy realy good but it takes alot of computer usage.
nod 32 is almost as good and it takes up hardly any computer usage.
so nod 32 is probably a better choice.

can you tell me wich version your signature files have ? my fils have the number 1.1680 and are from 20060727. and when i want to update it says i have the newest version installed.
is it just my Kaspersky that slows my computer down, or does it slow down yours as well?
and how do you view the signature version?

i had exactly the same problem than u Ski -yoshi nod32 stopped doin his updates on 20060727 , usually it was ok to me if there was no updates in a day but with 2 days i went to their site and there were 3 updates since 20060727, so i gigave a try to avast but it was makin my computer slow , Avg is ok but doesn't scan when u go to webpages , i tried Kaspersy, well teh scanning was very slow ..
all i need to know now is will this version of Nod32 will work with with patch fix 2,1 or not ?
That is stupid. I really like NOD32 but when this fix doesn't work anymore NOD32 in worthless. :( And a really good alternative isn't there in my eyes... And the guys from nsaneproductions are offline so there wont be a fix 2.2 :(

Now listen is that better as Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition (not Nortons Version of 200x!) or need it more Memory in Ram? Does this AV the same as McAfee and scan by every explorer activity such as files listen a scan so that the system slow down in this time? Daily updates etc...? Work in Networks (Server, clients etc...) Or is it just a trend wave here? Someone have longtime experience with this AV? Ever tested on slow Workstations less than 1,6 Ghz CPU, below 256 MB RAM? Please give me serious feedback.

NOD32 fix 2.1 is still working
The servers are overloaded becuase of the big definitions update. Users that have the paid edition get first priority. You just have to keep checking periodicly and it'll eventually update.

I read most above comments, and, as a foreigner, couldn't catch everything. However I understood that some people worry.
I speak to them... Make a test of no consequence: remove any previous installation of NOD32 and everything related to it, then install the last trial version. If no update of the virus signatures occurs within two hours, your machine is blacklisted (probably with some bytes injected in it to block updates): unless a time consuming brand new installation, no hope to use anymore NOD32 at no cost...
In the opposite case, hurry up to remove the trial version, and install the patched one with which I supplied you: trial time limits will be removed !
This patched version has been tested now with nine friends in my french neighbourhood: most of them got at least three updates, and nobody less than two. To conclude, all those who could evaluate the last trial version for 30 days with some benefit ought to install directly the patched one I offer. PEOPLE who NEVER used NOD32 before are OBVIOUSLY concerned.
Now, a failure with the trial version ought to exclude any tryout of the patched one.

Hugh! Reflecting upon Your enquiry Outpost and NOD32 works pretty well together. They make a nice bunch! As for Spysweepr, the new version is full of bugs - it will be recalled if that hasn't happened also. It's too robust, many problems, system freeze, slow and neverending scans, enormous memory-usage - just to enumerate some problems. I'd use DropMy Rights instead addition to modified HOSTS-file adn /or IE-Spyad or Spywareblaster. Those two (latter) are mainly for prevention.

After I see no one ever was test for a few years symnatec corporate av client/server on different computer. Update i read not easy to get with nod32 (hit40x + update button who have the time for it?), retail maybe dont have to test it, properly different between retail with real customer no./and full version trial user online update priority using less priority update server download sigs. I will not change to nod in a working server/client network, even if im able to get in retail from them manufacture. Someone can commend pro/contra about this AV.
Re: NOD32 for Windows 2000/2003/XP/x64 2.51.30 by RE-CON on 2006-07-29 15:31:56
No its the only AV using not much resources thats why we use it on all workstations. All other I tried before (might be some years ago) used dopple maybe 10 times more resources. Dont use Nortons its diverent from symantec corporat. u need only the client if u dont have server + workstations!!! Norton use lot of resources slow down after first installation, same all others. Mc affee is the hamer bang it slow down every time u acces the explorer. Kaversky was always give wrong allerts detect virus if there isnt any cause of quite fast, too fast scann engine. It can be changed with the time i just know the most used av as i was report about it its years ago. Time can change them product constructions so i can be wrong. Symantec corporate is by me as well all insiders I know the most used retail AV.

No Norton is for Home user the cheap Edition. Symantec have still the Enterprice Editions quite different even if the lable Norton was buyed by symantec i thing end of the 90's. Example Winfax: first original Delina, later prod. symantec,... norton label. Last orig. was ISDN edition by this product whitch belong to Norton now. It was a while ago when all pc magazines was report about the difference between it and the tests about symantec corporate AV. in europe magazines it was on first position for many years. Im not up to date since a while. i just can talk about the Test reports we done from 91 - 2002

First update takes a while cause it download some mb. after the first update is done the daily updates are just a few kb only. By installation if u dont use pop3 mail clients etc. u can select them off. Let me know after a while what do think about Symantec corp. av. in pro/contra to the AV's you was use before. i dindnt test after mcafee sucks last year all builds anymore any other and still always go back to symantecs av.

Well is one opinion, other people like other AV.
But this very iportant: The only AV used the motor AVP (The best motor to AV) is F-Secure (Use 3 motors) include AVP:::::::::::Kasperky (AVP) Use AVP motor.
Good Luck

To all again:
I don't know if it was said before but the fix 2.1 is working fine ! The only Problem was that ESET released an Update of about 5mb filesize. And in the updating-process people who have paid for NOD32 got this update first. Eset said that their servers where overloaded and the trial users were kept outside of this process until the load on the servers gets back to normal. so don't worry it's not a problem with the fix, it's just made by eset.
Thnx all of you guys, especially RE-CON, SKY-Yoshi and Drooper. ;)

Error all versions simple windows setup on LegitCheckControl.dll only . *.cat/inf they forgot to edit and correct! To get this ever properly need to make a workaround. I tried it on 3 machnies today, working with the trial and the 2.1 Fix. And ll are updating again fine and reliable as usual so there is no need to change the AV or "register" NOD32... And i'm running 1.1684 on all amchnies (with differnt IPs on the net). So like i said Eset had a server-overload and now that load is gone so there is no need to worry.

for the tray temporary ChangeLog 1.2 (29 July 2006) :
- Now uses the "RunOnce" registry entry instead of "Run" (starts sooner) - Added a clean removal procedure for the final WGA notification update (The final WGA notification is now removed cleanly without any BSOD) - If every removal procedure fails (possibly for futur WGA versions), offers the brutal removal procedure

Hmm.. As I stated before I dont know why will somebody install WGAtry. It does matter for poor souls who use automatic update. Anyway that feature is really annoying ´coz already painfully long process of windows shut down make more longer , so remove your WGAtry , and shut down automatic update. If you are in corporate environment use SUS , WSUS or something else. If somebody does not know yet WGAtry is optional , and that above is latest version that I know.

NOD32 installation clarification by railer on 2006-07-30 11:32:37
Hey all
First time poster, but a long time lurker.
I just wanna verify the steps involved in having a trial version converted into ->retail working version
The files i have got
1- nentenst.exe
2-nod32fix_V2[1].2.rar (consisting of 2 reg entries)
from my understanding this is how i should proceed
-Install NOD32 2.51.30
-during installation->select the "Set update parameters later" option
- before REBOOT, Run the patch file (NOD32.exe from the NOD32_Antivirus_System_v2[1].51.30_for_ALL_Windows_incl_PATCH.rar file)
- after reboot, open the NOD ctrl center ->press update
- select the "upgrade to full version", choosing any of the username/password mentioned
now the Qs is, when do i use the nod32fix_V2[1].2.rar, if at all i have to use it
Any feedback or alternative process is appreciated..

I need an information, NOD32 Fix 2.1 is usefull ?
If I install NOD32 2.51.30 and put correct login & pass, It's sufficient ?
Because I have installed NOD32 Fix 2.1 and after I click on nod32fix.reg, but I don't think if this action is usefull.
Please could you explain me the easiest solution to install NOD32 2.51.30 ?
Re: NOD32 for Windows 2000/2003/XP/x64 2.51.30 by DirtyShady on 2006-07-30 22:38:53
I dont already use NOD fix 2.2 because there 2 .reg, and I don't say exactly what .reg I have to execute.
But Can you answer me, NOD Fix 2.1 is usefull or not ?
Or just that is usefull ? :
- Installation of NOD32 2.51.30
- Authentification (login & pass) in Update.
Re: NOD32 for Windows 2000/2003/XP/x64 2.51.30 by doomed on 2006-07-30 23:14:41
What I did.
I had version 2.51.8 wth 2.1 fix.
It didn't update for some days because of the server overload. Yesterday it updated succesfully to the latest engine and database. So, it says 2.51.8 as the base but everything else is fully updated. You don't have to download the 2.51.30 version or a newer.. Plus, I don't have to enter a username and password to make it work!
Am I somewhere wrong?

Downloaded, uninstalled my 2.51.28 and now I've got 2.51.30 up and running. It's looking good. However, I'm using F-prot on my other computer for about a year and there's been no upgrades since January. Very stable and very good. I read that F-prot and NOD32 are two antivirus proggies that use the least resources (plus high batting rates). I am "observing" NOD32 until the next upgrade. Prefer NOD32 personally but with the constant upgrades, I am very, very disappointed. :-(

The NOD32 fixes you guys are downloading are not written by the same person.
The Original NOD32 fix that uses trial servers and updates automatically by integrating with the program is written by Nsane.
The NOD32 fix v2.2 and v2.3 are unofficial updates and are written by some guy that I have never even heard of.
I'd be wary.
Also from what I hear the NOD32 fix v2.1 written by Nsane works with the new version and just had problems updating due to server load.

Why Kaspersky IS Better Than nodCRAP - Here’s another reason!
By: Alexander Dimitru, Security Expert
"You can’t always tell which is the best anti-virus for your machine, as all the vendors will claim they deliver top-notch solutions, that they are leaders on the market and all that. Also, you often get facts stating that in some test a certain anti-virus ranked first, but they rarely state what competition they had. In any case, in view of recent events, Kaspersky beats the crap out of nodCRAP; and I will give you some facts and explain why it is so.
A computer with nodCRAP and Windows XP SP2 had been infected by several Trojans. The AV found two of them and no matter how many times you would delete them, they would still pop up after rebooting. nodCRAP could not disinfect the files, it just deleted them. That was pretty nasty. Couldn’t get rid of the threats! Cmd didn’t help much either – I guess they were stuck in the Recycler or something. Now, what I advised the owner of the affected machine was to run other AV solutions… however, none of the free ones seemed to do better than nodCRAP, fact which was to be expected. Then she asked me what else could she buy, so I advised her to get Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0. The minute it had been installed it asked for an update and a full system scan. It took Kaspersky about 2 hours to scan a 70% full 160GB hard drive, but it found 8 threats and eliminated them all. I then rebooted the machine and scanned the folders where the viruses had been discovered – now it was all clean. So, based on this experience, I would definitely go with Kaspersky, rather than nodCRAP.
To us users, it’s these things that count. It doesn’t matter what tests and magazines say – when you’re facing a threat and your AV doesn’t help you enough, then you deem it useless. Users don't care what other threats it may destroy – they want to get rid of the ones THEY'RE facing! Furthermore, after this happening, I definitely became a Kaspersky fan. I, for one, don’t care how much resource it will eat up – at least I will stay protected. What’s the use of having security software that will not "stress" your machine, if it’s also ineffective against viruses?"
KASPERSKY IS KING
