Nero Burning ROM 6.6.1.6 - final version. Unless you burn HD-DVDs or Blu-ray DVDs, forget version 7.5+. It will just bloat your computer and consumes a lot of RAM.

Nero 7 has a total entertainment package much like Roxio. You can edit music and create DVD's and more. Also, you  must have Version 7 if you want to run Vista, like I do. I also have 6.6.1.8 (yes 6.6.1.8) that I run on XP.

Are you sure that's v6.6.0.18, not v6.6.1.8.

Of _course_ you "need" Nero 7 for Vista. Both softwares are examples of force-feeding things to consumers who don't need them. Many new versions just exist to keep companies bank balances renewed. Nero has just added junk and bloat to its program package, when all that's really required is the good burning app of old.

Nero 6.6.1.6 burns perfectly and does the job most people would want (DL, HD-DVD, Blu-Ray burning is probably rare or non-existent for the majority).

I install on Vista build 6000. It can't see physical DVD drive. I go to Choose Recorder and found Virture device only, not found physical drive. Help me please, how to setup? Thanks..

After I installed Nero 7 Ultra Edition Enhanced 7.5.9.0, the start menu icons for Adobe Reader 7.0, QuickTime Player, and Corel Paint Shop Pro X became generic icons. Anyone else have this problem?

Better CDR WIN or VSO Copy To DVD and use Adobe Programs for multimedia (Premièere Elements and Photoshop Elements)

don't install the nero photo editor then,.. and if you do, rember to untick the associations.

some people are just blind and click next and ok throughout an entire install script.... thats why the idiots have spyware and crap
