Is there EVER going to be a working crack for this friggin' program? The PatentActivation bollocks pretty much cripples everything except for the Burning ROM component, so no amount of valid serial numbers is gonna help.

After install delete: C:\Programmi\File comuni\Nero\AdvrCntr
4\patentactivation.exe

There, the Patent Activation Issue has been dealt with and problem solved!

No it isn't - don't you think I'd have tried that method already? :P

I also tried deleting the following file as well:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nero\AdvrCntr4\NOSProductRegistration.dll

I still get the activation nag every time I add a video to NeroVision. The Burning ROM component works fine, though, so if that's all you need then happy days. But for the rest of us, we need a proper crack, not some brute-force deletion tactic that doesn't work anyway. I remember there was a crack for version 8, which basically just deleted the PatentMasturbation.exe file FOR you. Wow!!

And I'm spent :D

yeah if i see one more retarded comment like 'oh just delete patent activation' im gonna puke, serioulsy OK look PATENT ACTIVATION ISNT USED UNTIL YOU GET INTO NERO VISION!!!
If you want to use nero vision, which is the only feature this suite of crap has thats even remotely useful, you need a proper crack for the patent activation.
blocking access to the internet for patent activation will not work, it will tell you it cant activate. deleting it wont work it will tell you hey, its been deleted, sorry. serial numbers wont work, it checks them on the internet them fails for illegal ones.
'under seh team' appears to have a crack but i dont know if its legit

The above works for me, I had touse the Nero 9 Full Key not Trial key as my Trial Period is over.

I then Patched it to stop activation crap appearing when I played a movie in Showtime.

It scanned cleaned also.

Now all other spammers with off topic PISH, FUCK OFF.

How to apply the patch ? It seems it cannot find AdvrCntr4.dll. What I'm doing wrong ?

This wont even install - after 100% Extraction I get the following:

"SetupX.exe: Critical error in installation of Nero. Please contact Support..

Message: SetupX.exe: There was an error while extracting the UI Images. Exiting
deployment process: Error:

I wish Nero would stop using customised installers and let us just run a setup.exe file. Anyone else got this message and if so whats causing it?
