CD Speed is a CD-ROM benchmark which can test the most important features of a CD-ROM drive. CD Speed also has a function to check the CD media quality.

i hear you, i did have to buy a new RD-Ram after testing the Ram, you are not supposed to format RAM or USB Flash Media.

Lol benchmarking won't harm your system. If something happens it would also happen at some time later without testing your system.
Benchmarking might help you to understand if a device does not work properly.

Someone help me please!!! I have a problem in Windows Media Player Beta 2. It doesn't support all Microsoft Encarta 2007 videos. Then I installed K-Lite codec pack to ensure the availability of my computer's codecs. Then, all of the Encarta videos worked. But the problem is, all the videos cannot be zoomed. What shall I do???

Very Good Tool ,,, i realy admire Nero is the best .... i found out that my cdrom is very weak ,,, 22x read ... that's way i suffer when i see movies ,,, i should buy a new CDROM though tehh l0l ..

You don't have to buy another CD drive. This kind of program always shows decreased speeds of players & burners because those declared by producers are a "peak" speeds (40 times per second, 52 times...). In other words, these are absolute maximums which can be reached sometimes, using certain disks. For movies (DivX, mpeg1/2...) even the 8x should be enough. So, the speed of your CD player cannot be the cause of stutter and delay, it is rather a software problem (codecs and progras like BS player etc.). Anyway, it is very advisable to copy movie to the HDD and then to watch it.

Thank you very match for your help ... no sir .. i know my cd drive is slow and sick ... when i put a cd on it ,it takes a minute of hanging to read the cd ,,, and after that it showes cd propertise >> free 0 byte - used 0 byte
and if i was lucky and rise my hands praying .. the cd will be read but reallly slow ,,, I'm talkin about Data cd and dvd or any kind of cd'z ... i play none dvd movies by media player classik >>Best ,,, or jetAudio ... but it can't be helped ,,, the video keep cutting and strange digital sounds coming >> you kno
