America Online's Netscape team has opened its doors to the public, releasing the first beta of the revived Netscape Web browser. Based upon Firefox, Netscape version 8 focuses on security and protecting user privacy, and supports rendering with both Mozilla's Gecko and Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser engines.

Faster than Firefox? I seriously doubt that!!
Netscape crashes everytime you attempt to clear your History and that's only ONE of the problems it has.

I would strongly suggest that you read the Posts from people who have already tested the new Netscape 8 Beta, before you go gung-ho and install this Browser.
It's still buggy, prone to crashes and considering it's from AOL, nothing else is to be expected.
Netscape hasn't been a Browser since version 4.92, about the time it was sold to AOL.

After the settlement with MS, AOL comes to web browser again, this should be a "news" more than a "software".

LOL, creamorgay has proven himself again.
Nice one. Post a link to a trustworthy impartial site with impartial posters. ROFLMAO, no wonder you're so clouded. Now I see where u get your black and white info. Proves your lack of common sense when you don't even think of it. I suggest you start reading only microsoft sites for info on all computer related stuff, maybe in a year you'll be telling everyone how great MS is and that all they do is the best :P
