and functions much faster.

Re: Norton Internet Security 2007 10.2.0.30 by fatboys25 on 2007-04-13 00:42:07
The README for version (2007.2/10.2.0.30) states it has more vista support and 64-bit cpu support
that (2007/10.0.0.86) does not have.
I Hope this can be activated somehow. If not will have to use 2007 on xp or the new 360 for xp or vista.
*If it has a Stub Installer included in the files it is not the true retail.*
Re: Norton Internet Security 2007 10.2.0.30 by neo5853 on 2007-04-13 07:55:53

The NIS kg DOES NOT make valid
activation codes for 10.2.0.30
have already tried
Re: Norton Internet Security 2007 10.2.0.30 by fatboys25 on 2007-04-14 19:34:24
The *360* kg can Open the phone activation Window for nis 2007.2/10.2.0.30.
The *NIS* kg CANNOT creat a valid code for this to complete.
Re: Norton Internet Security 2007 10.2.0.30 by fatboys25 on 2007-04-14 19:37:00
The NIS kg can only creat valid unlock codes for 2007/10.0.0.86.

O.K. am running the 2007.2/v.10.2.0.30 Retail on two pc's now with 2years activation it worked fine.XP/SP2-32BIT
BUT
The older pc 32-bit/cpu(still a very good system) is at 100%cpu usage constantly because of a file called AppSvc32.exe....
The newer pc 64-bit cpu is not bothered by the file called AppSvc32.exe at all
when idle it is at 0%.
Symantec have an issue to deal with because the old pc was only just all formatted.
Re: Norton Internet Security 2007 10.2.0.30 by fatboys25 on 2007-04-16 01:02:18
Tried 2007/v.10.0.0.86 on the older pc it still has a big issue during the system scan and AppSvc32.exe got stuck at 100% again.
Re: Norton Internet Security 2007 10.2.0.30 by fatboys25 on 2007-04-16 01:21:54
Nis 2005 was working fine on the old 32-bit Athlon 1.9Gig,
1.5mb ddr 400,
6600le 256mb agp8x,
ATA hard drives.
The scanner in 2007 is set to high for priority or something.
New 64-Bit
Athlon 2.6GigX2,
2Gig ddr800,
8800GTX 768mb,
SATA hard drive,has no trouble.

Does anyone want a valid product key? When upgrading from XP to Vista, my Internet service provider was not able run the Norton I S 07 that was included in the original package so they gave out vouchers to purchase Norton IS 07 from symantecs web-site, and being the greedy git that I am, was able to con them out of giving me 3 different product keys pretending I was 3 different persons. I've used one, and I plan to keep the other for when my subscription reaches 0 days, so there's one key going spare. Because you can only use the key once, therfore only 1 person here can use it, so to make it fair, here's a little challenge for you.......Whoever posts the answer to this question first here, I will send you the valid key..(This is to ensure only valid 9down users will reply+If you want a valid 1 years subscription that badly you won't mind answering this simple question)....Simple....I'm from Bethesda, in WALES, what county in Wales is Bethesda?

Either leave your e-mail address, or if you're paranoid that i might be a hoax and send a virus instead, leave your telephone number and i will ring you with key.

You must keep getting the Trial Installer.
You need the Retail Installer that asks for a product key Before you can install the product.Or 360 Trial will Activate from kg. after the 15day trial is started.

Retail asks for product code before installing.

Is secure if I use the liveupdate without have problems of de-activate the software? I'm confused. In NIS 2006 the liveupdate, stop the activation and suscription of NIS used!
RE:Norton Internet Security 2007 10.2.0.30 by fatboys25 on 2007-07-26 22:13:10
If you follow the instructions closely and Activate off line(no internet)from a second product code that you generate from a hardware code in the phone activation window.
Then yes works forever BUT it must say it is Activated before you connect to the internet again for Program Updates.

So DISSCONNECT INTERNET install with a code from the KG press Activate now then keep pressing next(close any empty web pages opened) till the phone activation option appears select that and press next again then will be the Hardwae code window select you're country at the top then Copy and Paste the Long Hardware code shown into the KG and generate a new Product code for 1 or so years.
Copy and Paste the new product code into the space provided under the Long Harware code and press next and then it should tell you how many days it is Activated for.Onlt when ACTIVATED Connect to the NET for UPDATES.

A hint for those installing Vista.
You must select use the recomended security and updates option(GREEN ONE) when first doing setup
OR The Antivirus and Malware Protection will not report to Windows that they are up to date and both working.
This is a VISTA FLAW as all AV's are doing this.
