Trial reset didnt work...I think I just download and installed it wrong...can someone help please...I'm not an expert at this thing ...but I need this badly....fix my comp.
To remove MIRAR Toolbar too...computer has popup stuff left and right....

On Norton Internet Security 2009 16.1.0.33 Trial Reset v1.5 is working great for me..
NIS09 Installed on 12dec.2008 still showing 15 day..
follow instructions strictly..
before using Trail reset 1.5
Turn OFF the "Norton Product Tamper Protection"
after reset done, Update NIS09 (online or manually)
after done turn it ON "Norton Product Tamper Protection"

it deletes anything on your comp. without asking ,i installed and had to remove then and there since,there is no flexibility or even if you add something to exclusion even then it deletes and ask to restart everytime.
then i bought kaspersky more flexible and better control on network not like norton internet security which is so confusing and disables all network, who has the time to enble selected networks one by one.

Symantec has just released a patch for Norton Internet Security 2009 and Norton AntiVirus 2009 to upgrade the product version to 16.2.0.7.
To download the patch, simply run LiveUpdate and the patch will be downloaded.
If the patch doesn't download, then it may have already been downloaded through Automatic LiveUpdate. If this is the case, then all you will need to do is reboot your computer.
To verify that you have the patch, simply launch your Norton product, click on Help & Support, then click About. If the version number is 16.2.0.7, then you have the patch.

live update of Norton internet security can't update my norton,after I connect to the Internet i click run live update it run automatically but after a few second write This Warning :Unable to connect to the live update server,please check your Internet connection

Check out this::
1. Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click the Network and Internet icon, and then click Network and Sharing Center. In the left pane, under Tasks, click Manage network connections.
3. Right-click the network adapter that is currently active, and then click Properties.
If the User Access Control appears, click Continue.
4. In the Network Connection Properties window, under "This connection uses the following items", click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) or Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
5. Click Properties.
6. In the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties window, on the General tab, check the DNS server settings.
If "Use the following DNS server addresses" radio button is selected, check the server addresses. Make sure that the DNS server addresses displayed are the same that are provided to you by your Internet service provider or your network administrator.
If the DNS server address starts with 85.255.11x.x, then it is more likely that the DNS cache has been poisoned as the result of a Pharming attack.

You don't need the cracks. When you're down to 1 day in the trial period just uninstall the program adn then delete any trace of Norton and Symantec in the registry then reinstall the program and you'll have your full 7 days back. I've done this 3x already.
