this oodefrag 8.6bld 2234 pro is indeed a great improvement on the stealth fragmentation. The previous 8 .xx version tend to crash if resource is wanting and all the more so, if ie higher than 5.x is not installed--- hehehehhe those using browser other than ie would notice the caveat from 00defrag ;-) . This latest 00defrag has done away with this ie requirement and i just tested it --- it is great with realtime surfing and savings to boot.

One thing i dont like this 00defrag higher than ver 40472 is it is "inflexible" - "it does its own things for your own good;-))" i have gone back to my 00defrag40472 as it is the only 00defrag that allows me to do the pagefile/system defrag before windows start. My reason is this: i move all the datae into cds at the end of the day and 00defrag stealth/or otherwise shows only something like 1.2% fragmentation. So you notice there is "practically nothing to defrag except my pagefile/registry" at startups.

This does not mean the latest 00defrag is no good. It is great for those who keep their datae in the hds. 00defrag is about the fastest/accurate defraging prog i have been using for the past 15 years.

also has home or server version.

I prefer O&O Defrag 8.6 Build 2336 Professional
