OpenOffice is based an open SOURCE application and on the commercial basis of StarOffice. OpenOffice consists of text processing, spread-sheet analysis, presentation, indication program, a module for the production of diagrams, a formula editor and file format transducer (inclusive the formats for Microsoft Office). At the version 1.1 the pdf filter for problem-free providing of such documents is particularly interesting. Furthermore OpenOffice offers now also filters for the file formats of pocket Word, pocket Excel and Palm Doc.
