Thanks badrix !!

I tried it, the fraud protection looks interesting !! It gives report on clicking the icon next to RSS feed icon in address bar. User can rate the site he/she browsing with own observation and remarks... It is different.

Most of the other features are same.
Thanks.

Yes it is a weekly build tho but towards the final 9.10 one...its just a matter of time. By the way, Opera rules!. You name it, it got it all. Always my First Preference!

GUESS WAHT FRAUDLENT SITE REPORT I GOT ABOUT "GOOGLE", I have pested it here,

"SITE REPORT | REPORT AS FRAUDULENT | NOMINATE SITE
NOT VERIFIED
Site report for: www.google.com

A Not Verified rating means that Opera cannot determine that the site has been Verified by a Trusted Third Party. However, the site has not been listed on the Opera blacklists of disreputable or suspicious sites. You should use caution before exchanging sensitive or confidential information with this site."

Cool it dude.... I have just made a statement what I saw !!! I am neither against Google nor Opera as I love both !!!

I am just surprised to see the result as same result didn't come with Yahoo or Microsoft...

Hope you got that !!!

thats ok.. i understand.. ,, you wana know how it works? .. well heres how :

When you go to a new site for the first time, Opera will check against a database if the site is trusted or if it is a known fraud site. If we know the site, there will be a small information "i" in the right end of the address field. If it's unknown/not verified there will be a "?" and if it's known as a fraudulent site we will display a warning and block the user from accessing the site.

The browser sends only the minimum information the database needs to identify a fraud site. When a result is received by the browser, it will be cached there for some time, so it doesn't have to check again if you go to the same site often.

*Important thing is Opera doesnt use a downloaded database like that of Firefox2 and the reason?:  Firefox 2 only checks against a blacklist unless you turn on real-time protection from Google or other providers. We feel that only real-time protection is real protection, since phishing attacks tend to be more and more like virus attacks, most of their damage is done in a very short time.

More:
When you browse to a site you have not visited before, the browser sends a request for site information to our server. The requests contains the domain name of the site and a hash value of the URL. We don't send the full URL, but we need a fingerprint of the full URL in case you visit a dangerous page on a site that is otherwise harmless.

Thanks mate. I know a little part of it. Thanks for taking time to explain it to all, also popularising Opera. It really rocks. I am using it from last 7 years. It is the best program I am using for such a long time.

Thanks again !!!

Cheers ...
