Outpost Firewall Pro - world's foremost protection application, providing a superior arsenal of defense against PC infiltration. The firewall provides Security, Control, Privacy and Ease of Use. Outpost Firewall starts protecting as soon as it is installed.
The program detects and blocks hacker attacks, guards the privacy of data stored on your computer, monitors network activity of your system and applications, provides secure web surfing, and prevents Internet worms from activating from your inbox.
Outpost can place your computer into stealth mode, making it invisible to hackers. In addition, the program can remove annoying pop-ups and ads and increase connection times.
To ensure your protection against new threats, Outpost updates information frequently through a custom utility.
It runs under Windows 98, 98SE, ME, NT4, 2000, and XP systems on any Internet connection.
You can disable or customise every single feature in this firewall.

Cool. ImproveNet program and rules redistribution sounds exactly as a definition of Spyware. What does mean "with your consent" though&

Thanks, but I am not sure it is so. Well, I use Outpost for very long time, but smth with these improvements is suspicious to me. Call that paranoia or else. I will try this 3.5 anyway of course.
If you think that one security company can sell your info. then you are paranoiac. Maybe they are trying to surprise their stockholders. Are you tryed to find what outpost "selling" to agnitum?

best firewall around keeps getting better
hope they don't make it to bloated though
at least they add-ons are plugins that you can disable if you don't want them not like ZA which is a soooo bloated
i used to be a huge fan of ZA but it takes up to much memory and has way to many useless features

Dunno if its Outpost for sure BUT...
I use MAME a lot and while updating roms under WinRAR from one Zip file directly into another (ie open one file by dble click then drag contents ontop of another zip file) the machine crashed.
When it rebooted it said outpost had crashed and made a log plus dump to send back.
I uninstalled Outpost and the problem went with it......

Just to update, this had happened everytime I tried it, not once...
Worked before Outpost and since removing it...Could be a conflict between it and Winrar???

You gave them eye's but they can't read!!!
You gave them a brain but they can't use it!! :-)
They were not support questions dear boy, it was meant as a message incase anyone gets the same thing...
As for the roms....er.....It's nothing to do with the roms. its a clash between Winrar and Outpost. Roms are just raw data that its extracting, nothing else...
Anyway, Outpost f**k's up with it for some reason....I'll go back to a firewall that don't fall over for no reason till its fixed..
