Is this a joke? This is a trial version and there was already retail version posted about two weeks ago...
RE : by Warez_Upload on 2006-09-13 16:08:27

Re: PerfectDisk 8.0 by vegetunks on 2006-09-13 16:45:31
OH AWESOME!!! does this work as well as the Workstation version? cant use it unless you disable device drivers? *sigh* diskeeper just seams so much better
Re: PerfectDisk 8.0 by nobody123 on 2006-09-13 16:54:50
Version 7 was 3.26 MB.

This 17 MB now :-((

Now this is also bloated along with Diskeeper.

Any alternative ?
RE : by DownloadKing on 2006-09-15 09:10:25
The installer includes a 32-bit and a 64-bit version, so it's less bloated than it seems, and far far less bloated than Diskeeper 10.
The name of the "Workstation"-version has changed into "Professional" with version 8.

Using Diskeeper 9.0 Build 532 here - still the best Windows defragger imo. I tried PerfectDisk but I prefer Diskeeper's methods of file organisation.
Re: PerfectDisk 8.0 by vegetunks on 2006-09-13 17:13:31
why are you using Diskeeper 9 when diskeeper 10 is out???
RE : by DownloadKing on 2006-09-14 13:49:53
Because newer is not always better. Diskeeper 10 has a lot more options, but is a resource hog. So it you loose more than what you gain by defragmenting.
Re: PerfectDisk 8.0 by camsta on 2006-09-13 18:00:23
Diskeeper 10 is the best, rapes anything else...
Re: PerfectDisk 8.0 by KOSVOCORE on 2006-09-13 18:44:58
I testing "Auslogics Disk Defrag"
I don't know what is the best Defrag SoftWare

Boot time defrag fails to run  Article Title: When attempting to perform a boot time defragmentation pass, I get a "failed to open" or "driver conflict" message or the system reboots without performing the boot time defrag. Article Details: Some 3rd party products open the drive for write access prior to PerfectDisk's boot time defrag being able to mount the drive for exclusive access. If the drive has been opened for write access, PerfectDisk will not be able to perform a boot time defrag and PerfectDisk's boot time defrag will not run so that there is no chance for file system issues to occur.

Depending on the 3rd party product, you may either see a "failed to open" message from PerfectDisk or a "possible driver conflict" message on the screen. The following 3rd party products have been found to prevent PerfectDisk's boot time defrag from running. There may be other products not listed that also prevent PerfectDisk's boot time defrag from running.

Don!t forget to disable  "sptd.sys" prior to offline defrag! By the way: does it make sense to download this version,or should we keep Workstation Edition? Which - aside from offline-dfrag nuisance-works pretty good.

It seems a number of people are downloading the file from the original post & uploading it again to rapidshare for gaining brownie points with rapidshare. What a lot of cheapos.

Although I have seen a lot of posts on a number of forums that curse out at rapidshare but one must admit it is the most reliable & withiout a doubt a fast host.
Re: PerfectDisk 8.0 by Algalord on 2006-09-14 07:07:44
PerfectDisk and Diskeeper are cool but O&O Defrag Professional still being the best!!
RE : by DownloadKing on 2006-09-14 13:51:13
Could you give more details why you think it is better?
Re: PerfectDisk 8.0 by aguayon on 2006-09-14 09:56:31
in my experience diskeeper was slow in defragmenting while still in windows, and with this one is faster ,didnt like O&O DEFRAG it had to much options you need to defrag with one type of defragmenting process then another,to much things to do

merci d'avance
