PerfectDisk redefines enterprise disk defragmentation addressing an issue that Microsoft, in various published artices, states is often the cause of poor system performance on a system. Provides the most comprehensive solution for defragmentation by optimizing virtually every file on the system, including the Master File Table ($MFT), all metadata, paging files, and directories. Patented SMART Placement technology arranges files on a disk to ensure that free space is consolidated and the future rate of fragmentation is minimized.

Does somebody have a comparison on latest diskeeper, o&o defrag, and perfect disk products? I am confusing to choose which one is the best for my desktop computer.
Thx b4.

Have you ever found a blank space between what should be a contiguous string of files while looking at the state of you hdd's? This app is the only one I found that can close that gap caused by mft's and metadata. 1 word - SAWEEEEEEEEET!!

OK, to all of you people PerfectDisk is only for Windows XP, 2003 and Windows 2000. That's why expect Blue Screens and other errors in 98SE 'cause this program works on later operating systems.

This program works very good on Windows XP's.. due to its SmartPlacement technology. I've been using Diskeeper Pro9 (the latest one) and in my opinion DK works fine but not as good as PD. The only downside is that PD is good only on later OS (XP, 2003, 2000). I've found out that DK did not defragment most of my files after using PD and analyze it. personally, I chose PD for XP's.
DK will never do a perfect defrag( files contiguous ) since XP deals with permissions. There are to small DOS commands that are needed to be run before you use either DK or PD. Even so DK will still not set things contiguous where as PD will.
The DOS commands are to small bat files, giving permissions to handle all files, and the other deals with compression of the c:systen restore files.
If you wish me to post I can do so later today EST time.

The first time I opened the program, I got a message "No such interface supported." and then no drive was detected by the program for
defragmenting...
After I uninstalled and installed it again, at the middle of the installation process, I got a message "Failed to set license (0:0, 0). Exiting file setup." something like that i think...
Can someone help me because I think PD is more powerful than DK.
