8-Channel only should use the HD Driver in my opinion
that is a 7.1Codec

For Trouble free use try to stick with
what the motherboard vendor has on there web site
and check FAQ's for you're mobo
the problem might be rosolved in writting for you.

Can someone tell me please if this HD driver will work with a 7.1 ALC 850, or i should use the AC'97 driver?
