Sony Launches PSP 2.82 Firmware

An update to the PSP system software was made available on October 26, 2006. If you update your PSP system, the system software will be version 2.82. This version adds many features.Network
You can now download video and image content under [RSS Channel]. You can now register devices via a wireless LAN access point under [LocationFree™ Player].
Music You can now play AAC files with the .3gp file extension.
Settings [Automatic] has been added as an option under [Network Settings] > [Infrastructure Mode].
Other Support for the playback of content stored in [MUSIC], [PICTURE] and [VIDEO] folders at the root level of Memory Stick Duo™ media has been added. Included in 2.81 and 2.82: Patches have been added to address security vulnerabilities in the system software.

if you update to 2.8 you can never ever play .iso games or emulators on your psp cuz the security and copyrights shit ...
i have 1.50 and DevHOOK and i can know play any fuggin game in the whole world on my memorystick
and with the emulators i can even play GameBoy Advance and Old SEGA and NINTENDO Shit ....
WAAKE UPP And do not update your psp for these > fuc ccckin features< ,,,,

I realy need to help you man ... I did the same mastake as you did 4 monthes ago and i update from 2.40 to 2.71
i spent the last 4 monthes searching for a downgrader ,,, thank god they relased it for 2.71 ,,, and now evrything's cool ...
you have to wait till they release 2.81 downgrader ... keep checking the site :
