Has anyone installed this? When I try to download updates and program closes...

That shut down problem may be because if you go to the Spybot S&D home page they still only list Version 1.3 as the most recent version.
I wouldn't use it if I was you untill you find out if it is a FAKE.
Remember it is an open source program so anybody could make a copy if they wanted to.
For all you know it may install crap on your PC instead of taking it off.

If this is only as good as a Beta release why didn't you post that fact. If you had done that it would have made it a lot easier for everyone to realize why it is a dodgy warez post

Don't post half baked or faulty warez.Why don't you try them first.

I think both the topic title and the download link clearly indicates that it is a RC2 Release,which means Release Candidates for all the ignorant and newbies out there (No Offence).

So now,by your statment,you're making the same mistake again,don't you agree?

It appears the problem with the update in this release is that it doesn't have any servers listed to search for updates from.

RC1 and previous versions always had a choice of about 7 or more servers. RC2 has none.

If you update it manually (available from the spybot website) it works fine.

The RC2b version has been released and it actually works.
