The J2SE Runtime Environment contains the Java virtual machine,
runtime class libraries, and Java application launcher that are
necessary to run programs written in the Java programming language.
J2SE 5.0 RC does not include support for Windows or Linux on Intel Itanium 2 systems (Intel IA32 support for both Linux and Windows is available). Sun intends to release a J2SE 5 Itanium 2 download bundle at a later date.

The new java version sucks from sun as did the previous version. This one hangs my computer up. I am currently running windows xp with sp2 on a Pentium 4 3.0 gig machine
