Don't get Java unless you actually [u]need[/u] it. It's a huge security risk because anyone can write Java-based viruses that the common Anti-Virus scanners (Norton/McAfee) will miss. (The good AV scanners, like Avast, do a much better job with Java.) Take my advice: Don't Do Java!

Java SE Runtime Environment 6 is the new release. 5.11 has never existed as a final to dowload at sun microsystems home page so where has this come from not that i care i'll stick with the one from the developer.

Java SE Runtime Environment 6 is the new release. 5.11 has never existed as a final to dowload at sun microsystems home page so where has this come from not that i care i'll stick with the one from the developer.

If u want to use Limewire Pro (lime pro is 100% crap free if u have never installed there free version or similar Java dependant apps. you're scanners will NOT want it gone.) you must install java for the program to be able to run. I have used it for years trouble free mostly thow you are wmore vunerble when browsing so maybe be a bit more carefull.

I might download this because I heard version 6 isn't supported by Firefox 2.0.0.1 Can anyone confirm if this is true?
