Does any other program have the same functions of Java virtual machine , but run more faster ? cuz all the updates that i've been downloading.....dosent changed anything.

Please remove all previously installed runtimes via control panel, reboot and then install the latest one.

I can't find update 9 either.

noway... program are written to run with sun java... it is needed by those program...

Well the official site stil shows 5.0.6 where as most of you are using 5.0.8. Same way I think this update will not shown on the website. Those of you with Autoupdate enabled in JRE, will receive a notification.

It's not uncommon. Even Firefox updates are out even before they're posted on the Mozilla website.
