i run my torrents in a 128M ram tiny xp vm under a 2k server that has squid+privoxy and symantec av client realtime with kapersky av manual.

save my torrents in the auto dl folder on the server, pick 'em up from the completed folder, all nice and squeaky clean.

don't need no av scanner on my workstation.

no viruses, and problems.  the key is creating a security layer away from your pc. That's all. and i visit any page and use any tracker i damn well please, with full access to all of my cpu power.

I have been running Sym Corp AV for years after abolishing regular Norton AV.

Reason is: no expiery date , easyer to install, lighter load on computer and not as vurnable to Virus attacks (on it self). The client security part is not 100%, and will not always install. But the built-in pop-up/comercial blocker is the best you can get. 

Try and find out yourself. 

That is because there is no debate.

Everyone knows by now they both have their advantages and disadvantages. If you are not happy with one, use the other.

There is no need to bash one over the other though. That would be child like :)
