This program is supposed to be a resource hugger (antivirus) plus the utilities will actually do more harm to your computer. What gives?

are you uninstalling & reinstalling the program, if so, you just have to delete the 'iolo' folder in Program Files. i believe after uninstallation, the files; ioloDMV.dll, ioloDMV.exe ioloHL.dll will still be present at this folder and it's hard to delete because these files is always be used by the system.

but I managed to delete the folder 'iolo' by using a useful tool like Unlocker. It can kill most of the processes that are still in used by the system.

After deleteing the folder 'iolo', you can resinstall the program as many time as you want as long as you delete the mentioned folder first. I hope i'm giving you a very useful tip.

hii...i gave up with this software ..i'll buy it.normally SM7 cause 50$ from IOLO wepsite.at zonealarm wepsite its only 20$ !!,this week actions.i think it worth to buy it..the pro version i think its not usefull..cause i doesn't trust their Antivirus&firewall...for less that 1/2 its usuall price...with normal silent updates and without headaches for any blacklisting ..!!

What should I do when I get licence disabled?I uninstalled it and now when I tried to install it again but i get licence disabled before installing the program.I tried to use the activator but it says that licencor's detected, but nothing could be done.Please can anybody help me?

Wraithe, I followed your instructions and tried your Trial Extender but it won't install. It still says trial expired. I'm running this on Vista btw, is that possibly the reason it's not working?

W A R N I N G

I had reverse engineered System Mechanic PRO to its Source Code and had found that they stored the names of most of the patch sites, Sl. Nos. and other details in their program (Updated versions). They had also written programs to scan files and even memory to check these filenames, and new versions are also use the facility to send the vital details through the internet. Their minor updates are not to add features, but to prevent latest patches. They also use iterative functions to prevent patches (Occasional Check also). Also, the company visits almost all patch sites and daily updates their programs; and also updates against the working of recent patches, contacts the uploaded sites to delete the patches.

They had also written many functions to check the size of programs. DLL files, and byte changes. So, if the program works correctly, after some time, the s/w find out the changes and then cease to work.

SO USE THE PROGRAM VERY CAUTIOUSLY. The cost of original version is also very very high.

System Mechanic was brilliant peace of software till version 4. I installed new version, and remove it immediately, because interface is discasting , and stability even worse. Stick to some other software for cleaning!

haven't tried the extender on vista (nor will I) as I can't get vista to even load sysmech right. Dump vista and go with XP or 2K
