Microsoft has never released a service pack for Windows98 SE. But I made a Service Pack for Windows98 SE users. It contains all Windows98 SE updates from Windows Update site and more.
It is a self-extracting and self-installing pack like Microsoft's update files. Thus, you cannot choice files individually. However, the pack installs only required fixes for your system. Uninstallation is possible from Add-Remove Programs.
****This is only for WINDOWS 98 SECOND EDITION ENGLISH.**** I highly recommend that you should backup your system before installing the pack.
It contains only operating system updates. It does NOT contain Internet Explorer 6, DirectX 9, Media Player 9 and their updates.
Latest Changes:
Added one update [Q870669] and one hotfix [Q295629 (Replaces Q258010 and Q274334)]

Updated ROOTSUPD.EXE [to 7.0]
Updated HTML32.CNV [to Office XP SP3]
Updated INFEX.EXE from 0.1 to 0.2
Changed "MaxFileCache=524288" to "MaxFileCache=393216" in SPUPDATE.INF
Changed copy method of HARDWARE.HLP in SPUPDATE.INF
Changed copy method of Visual C++ [VCREDIST] and OLE Automation [OLEUPD] files in SPUPDATE.INF to avoid any version inconsistency
Added "SmartReboot=N" into the all INFs for preventing unexpected reboot messages
Corrected typo on DELINFS.INF
Fixed TweakUI uninstallation bug
Fixed 98lite Sleek Notepad uninstallation bug

I know that windows 98 is old and not many people use it, but if you are running 98 this is a must have, I have a 266 Mhz laptop, and xp doesn't run very well on it, so 98 SE with one of these Unofficial service packs is perfect.

My old laptop even with a pentiumIII 650 refuses to fully accept XP pro so I have to continue using Win98SE on it plus the HSP modem is incompatible with XP This service pack is a MUST in my book and Win98SE is still excellent for gaming and more secure for the Internet than the dodgy service pack 2 of XP!
