SP2 is not shit, it has some issues , but as anything from Microsoft , it needs time to be fixed..... until SP3 :))))))))
Seriouslly, I work in a computer firm as a system builder and servicing, aside some issues with SATA and RAID during install, there are no visible issues!
I use slipstreamed SP2 build 2180 RTM, so my SP2 installs during windows installation;
if you try to install it on a system that is not fresh, you might encounter issues like freezing, corrupt user security data, non responsive programs, and corrupted software installations - since Microsoft presumes your mashine is in perfect condition . ha ha ha ha.
SO USE SLIPSTREAMED XP, IT WORKS.
P.S. Althought this sounded like commercial it is not, and anyone who follows instructions, will reach paradise :)
If you have any questions or problem , contact me by mail.
I have newly rebuilt my computer with all drivers installed without extra programs (basic system and drivers). I have went through ALL the updates, except service pack 2 will not install.
During the installation of Windows it tells me of an unsigned driver, but does not tell what it is for. Then it proceeds to tell me my SATA raid (Sil3112) latest from Asus, (A7N8X Deluxe) driver is not signed. I continue install anyway.
Any ideas?
