the proggie is very good but posting d/l links w/o any fix on warez boards is very easy but useless & ridiculous behaviour...

Re: Vopt XP 8.04 by tulioanjos on 2006-11-25 21:17:30
Is it better than o&o ?
RE : by Zucc8 on 2006-11-25 21:58:19
No one is better than O&O if you know it!  I've tried the most well know degragmenter but my pc goes much much better using O&O and nobody can change my opinion.
Re: Vopt XP 8.04 by dA_CLOwN on 2006-11-25 22:01:20
I've tried a lot of disk defragmenters, and O&O is the best so far. Others just screw up my PC. But i'll have to try this one.

I tested this out under Vista x64 and it works pretty well. But it is not 100% stable, and locked up when trying to defrag very large files, aka HD TS files over 10 gigs. Unless you are using Vista X64 and can't find a compatible defragger, Diskeeper, PerfectDisk or O&O is a much better choice.

Vopt was Very good back in 1999
O&O is the best IMO
RE : by cyberhun on 2006-11-26 04:35:12

new: O&O Defrag V8.5 Professional Edition

Have you got the 'licence for 1 PC' for this or the one before version that,

apparently works with update to new one...?

I use Diskeeper and it works in background seamlessly, But I'm open

for try more suggestions here, and above.

VOPt is junk...had it years ago and I chunked it out from storage.

Very simple de-fragmenting program. I've used v7.02 for quite a while, I hope that someone provides a key or generic patch for this version.

For those who didn't do it yet, give UltimateDefrag a try!!
It's really amazing!!
Much better and transparent than O&O, which I used for such a long time!
The "High Performance" and "Archive" options are really good!!

Give it a try!! =cD

About Vopt, I've never heard about and will be checking out... ;)

Re: Vopt XP 8.04 by kotor87 on 2006-11-26 13:04:58
I recommended you all to try PerfectDisk. Its better you know
RE : by hartavi on 2006-11-26 20:34:28
Sorry to inform u that Perfectdisk caused my pc to crawl like a turtle, and I've got one that regularly is very fast worker. The minute I removed this utility from my PC it returned to work normally. Pls, do-not recommend, unless u know what u are recommending about.

I see that you like to project your sick fantasies unto others. It must be your latent homosexuality you're compensating for.

I was right. Don't you think that is about time you came out of the closet and admitted that you're gay?
Re: Vopt XP 8.04 by waldo on 2006-11-29 07:50:18
The program isn't too bad. Their web site is very sparse though. No change logs or anything!
Re: Vopt XP 8.04 by Colt on 2006-11-29 16:59:21

@ Elistas

What about "Activate Diskeeper Now" under "Action" menu dropdown list...?

Re: Vopt XP 8.04 by Elistas on 2006-11-30 00:44:37
If you follow the installation instructions properly, it is not the trial version.

@ Colt: I don't see "Activate Diskeeper Now" under "Action." I do have "Enter License Key" but just ignore that. Even though it has a few little remnants of the trial version (such as the above "Enter License Key") if you installed it properly, it's a fully functional version of Pro Premier 2007 and will never expire.

The way you can tell if you installed it properly or not is the first time you run Diskeeper after installing. If a box comes up telling you that you have 30 days to use the "Try & Buy" before you must purchase it, then it's the trial version. If no such box appears, then you have installed it correctly and it will never expire.

@Big_Bamboo: Why do you say that? If you used the 'License.dal' file as instructed, then it's a fully functional, never expiring version of Pro Premier.
