There no denying it winDVD is a great dvdsoftplayer but Im not going to bother using it from now on in terms of later versions. It is mega bloatware. and keeps getting bigger and bigger with each release.

WinDVD 6 is more than adequate enough and i still use winDVD 5 on an old laptop with Win98SE loaded on. getting the latest version of a program these days seems to becoming an obseesion and one which I was victim to as well eg anyDVD. Good idea is to just upgrade once eveRy six moths or IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT!

And this bloatware doesn't show the movies on my tv... like some other players do. :-/

It seems that there are several builds of 7.0 version floating around you MUST check yours and than you can either try patch offered here or can find one on www.katz.ws, there have been several patches posted today over there...

I followed install notes and it's working so far, we'll see after 15 days.

Anyone whose pretty much in doubt about the 15 day deal, I've set mine forward in time and now I get a register screen. Until a proper working gen appears, better not set your date forward in time and still enjoy the 15 day trial. :)

I have all their programs and no one is stable!! Intervideo programmers are very bad!

PowerDVD just better.
WinDVD 7 use WinDVD6's decoder. It's fun.

It also crashed on my pc too.

- but there is no sound when I select DTS. Why?

- Slow
- Sensitive
- Less Compatible with DVD Movie
+ Nice sound quality
- Trimention is awesome feature but there is a bug in there. It's lag.

Windows Media Player 10.0
+ Fastest
+ Excellent Picture Quality(Although there is no enhance feature in it.)
+ Compatible with Most DVD Movie
- Bad Sound Quality on DTS(better on Dolby)

I don't know why.. but I still like WinDVD.

You know Kanuki that windows media player by default can not play dvd movies or any dvd features at all!
Why?
Because microsoft is monopolist , and they are forbidden to have they own mpg2 decoder in they players.
So you are s.t.u.p.i.d when watching dvd from windows media player , `cos you dont know that you are watching DVD movies on windows media player which have plugin from 3rd party players (windvd,power dvd or they plug-ins for WMP etc.) which you installed last on your PC.
So you are the liar when you spit on quality of picture on other dvd players , and you know S.H.I.T. about your PC and soft DVD players.

ok the betamaster activator is saying cant create process with the correct password "betamaster" and copied to the DVD 7 directory. So can someone please give detailed steps as to how they got the betamaster activator to work for Windvd 7 so we may all enjoy.

All is works!
Just put it in the directory, where is you placed "WinDVD7.exe" file (downloaded from intervideo.com) and activate it. Setup is running by Retail (Platinum) version. That's all!
Betamaster - FULLY RESPECT!

Betamaster converter worked just fine for me!
I didn't need to activate if after install. Audio & Video centers also work fine, without crashing, and all DVD's & supported video files are playable now.
So, just make a new folder, put WinDVD.exe downloaded web package (file) in it, together with betamaster's super_convert file. Run the betamaster file (password: betamaster) and the WinDVD install will start itself.

well I did and it seems to work. I don't get any register screens no matter when I set the system date to. Also everything works and no crashes.

The only thing I don't know is whether it is windvd Gold or Platinum (both are included in the download).

Anyway give it a try and see if it works for you.

winrar will open the windvd7.exe download.
