WinRAR is a 32-bit version of RAR, the powerful archive manager. RAR files can normally compress files up to 10 percent more than ZIP or ARJ files.
WinRAR is a powerful archiver. WinRAR provides complete support of RAR and ZIP files, unpacks 7Z, ACE, ARJ, BZ2, GZ, CAB, ISO, JAR, TAR, LZH, UUE, Z. Among WinRAR features are strong compression, volumes, encryption, self-extracting modules, backup facilities.

Features include strong compression, processing of non-RAR archives (such as ZIP, ARJ, and LZH), long filename support, programmable self-extracting archives (SFX), volumes, damaged archive repair, authenticity verification, embedded file comments, and encryption.

New features include added extraction only support of BZIP2, JAR (Java ARchive) and ACE 2.0 formats, the possibility to use full file paths such as d:pathname in the exclude lists and -x switch when archiving, option "Append archive name to path" in the "Settings/Compression" dialog, new 'E' parameter for -ag switch denotes a day of year and processing of more archive formats (TAR, GZ, ACE, UUE, CAB, ARJ, and LZH archives).

   1. Bugs fixed:
      a) stack overflow vulnerability has been corrected in WinRAR module
         processing 7-Zip archives;
      a) WinRAR GZip module could set a wrong file date when unpacking
         GZip archives.

Dude, 4.65 is a fake version. If you Google it, you can see that its been cooked up by a lot of Warez sites.

Goto rarlab.com and check the version number there.

interestly it is as good as the 362 full reported here and is not bugged

i have downloaded the 342 but using the "464" ;-))

will report if it comes up with any strange side effects.

Hey leecher, is ur patch one of those you can register ur own name, or is it registered under yours ?? And will your patch work for future updates?? I just dont want to waste my time with 3.62 anymore....Thats why i'm still using 3.61

Hey Dude the patch works fine I tested it on versions 3.60,3.61,3.62.

If you want your name in the registration info then.

open rarreg.key, replace "Corporate Edition" with "your name"

2. Copy the content from "RAR registration data...", then paste in notepad
3. Save the file in C:\Program files\WinRAR; use the file name "rarreg.key"
