I presume installing this latest version will remove the ability to encode files to WMA that was in the orignal 5.091 version (before the re-release)?

If you have Winamp 5.091.... and you upgrade to ver 5.092 it won't dissable WMA encoding.... but if you uninstall winamp and install 5.092 on it's own it will....

It takes a while to start up, thats my biggest and only problem with it.

If you're not into skinning like me, just use the Winamp Classic skin and it'll start up faster, plus use a lot less memory.

So Change The Skin To Classic.

092 starts very slowly like 09... this is because of Media Library... if u uninstall it (Preferences - Plugins - General Purpose) - it'll start faster. In 091 this bug was fixed but in 092 again :(

did they remove the short (and nice) fade out and fade in when pausing and playing ? .... or there is something wrong in my setting ?

- Fadein/out: Try enabling DX Output Plugin.
- Pro or Full: Are identical, the only difference is that one of them (I don't remember which one) displays the 'Pro Registration Window' the first time you run the program after installation.

No, obsolete. JetAudio Plus is quite better

Winamp supports more formats than JetAudio. I would say JetAudio is obsolete in that department. What makes you think JetAudio is so much better.
