Anyone tried it? How good is it? Using BitDefender at the moment It's not too bad

Been using it since early April and the peace of mind is great and because they require you to also download Windows Defender it covers everything including Backups, TuneUps, and of course the virus protection and Spyware protection running in the background. I got rid of the Memory Hog Norton System Works, Zone Alarm Pro, & Sunbelt Software Counterspy which is the other part of what MS is running as they owned Giant and did a division thing with Microsoft with the stipulation of MS supporting Counterspy. But Sunbelt went a different way than MS did. Sunbelt also picked up the Firewall Keiro I think the name is. I have been more than satisfied with OneCare coverage and the quick updates to all the programing and the memory jog (Change of Color Icon) when there is something you as a user have to do. I also got signed up before the end of April for the $19.00 a year deal and renewal will be $49 plus a year. But until they officially released this thing my year hadn't started.

i am a NOD32 fan..and believe me its better than kaspersky...
i have switched from KSky to NOD32....

I think NO32 AntiVirus System is the best of the best. It's the fastest and smallest security program right now. I love it!

the beta sucked bigtime, or at least installing it did...it rooted my system completely. I had to do an ERD restore back to about four months prior to installation. Until the next incarnation of NOD32 comes along I'm sticking with Kaspersky internet security + anti hacker. microsoft blows

i dont have anything against Microsoft, Windows Vista Beta 2 is awsome! but anti-virus... gimmie a break!! if it was free then sure, none of us could complain! but... I'll stick with the nice and stable Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0!!!

I dunno how good this release can be, maybe it's as good as they say (though I doubt it if it comes from Microsoft -.-)
Anyway, right now my "defense combo" is: Avast antivirus Pro + Outpost Firewall pro + Windows Defender + Hide IP Platinum + Ad-Aware SE = a good defense...

Anyway, if somebody gives a try to microsoft's release, give us a word !

Kaspersky is the best and the 6th line uses less resources than NOD32. End of story. Stop talking shit when you don't know.

It depends upon which version of both programs you are referring to.  Without any version numbers, the same could be said to you.

I have used NOD

I have used NOD32 and Kaspersky in the past.These do not catch everything.I have been working as an IT Tech for 3 years @ a University where all the computers are equipped with Symantec Corp. Edition.(Only used for Enterprise use)I installed it 3 years ago and have had not 1 problem since installation.Where as NOD32 and Kaspersky does not make Enterprise Edition Antivirus ,only ones used by consumers.I have yet to come across a computer in a place of business that is not using Symantec Corp. Edition.

Absolutely no need Live OneCare! I used to trust my PC on NOD32 but now I change to Kaspersky. NOD32 does not recognize keylogger (e.g Perfect Keylogger, Ardamax Keylogger, etc.) but Kaspersky really does. I've tested. It's best of the best!
