The problem that keep me from making any progres is that the only thing I have is the WindowBlinds 6 Enhanced file from the Program File folder which doesn't work + require activation.

In simple term, to make any more progress, I need the setup for WindowBlinds 6 Enhanced not just the file from the Program File folder.

You know, I have the feeling that asif2bd has it.
Please post the setup.

i could say it works on my machine, but aside from
using the sig.bin file above, i also did the SID trick hours ago... and since then it was working.

i tried it out, everything seemed to work untill I applied my optix theme, it didn't workout all that well, my optix taskbar was all out of wack. so i uninstalled it. but it is gettin closer, thx.

What is SID anyways?

SID is your Computer Security Identifier. which sets it somewhat unique..

Sorry if that's a stupid question, but changing my computer's own SID to another one wouldn't screw my already installed apps (which where expecting my original machine's SID they found when originally installed) preventing them from starting?

Why in the nine hells this THING does not support Win XP X64 but does it with Vista x64?

my results on a fresh system:
I used the public, but I got better results when I used the enhanced. I did the newsid, then installed public, then patch the files, and rebooted. It went well untill i applied a skin, it kept tellin me to reboot.

Installed public, overwrite files .. no go

placed sig6.bin..... no go

No Go here either. Did the NEWSID, Sig6.bin as well as the wbsys.dll. Installed the Public version and patch. WindowBlinds does not say sharewhere anymore and can access transparency skins, but nothing happens when I apply them.

just follow D3X10N instructions...(although is changes some of them)


and for the skin to work, patch the wb6 beta files... and its gonna work fine!

1.install enhanced

And it works!

Tried it twice and it doesn't work. Same as above...just sends you into Classic.

Apparently the only way is with SID, which isn't worth it.

Naaaa it wont screw u...! I've done it atleast six times in abt few months..! Only thing is tat there should not be a break when it is changin the SID

I have done it a few times successfully. It would be bad if your PC locks/freezes up during the scan. I think you would need to reformat your partition if that happened. It doesn't matter if i need to format suddenly though cause everything is backed up and I use many portables that are stashed on a different partition.

one thing everyone should be aware of is the sid trick (in vista at least) needs to be done in safe mode, otherwise it freezes and doesnt run..

No matter what people says,change your system important settings,is bad idea;unless you know what you are doing. It's not worth taking risk like this.
