I wonder if this patch is not the same as version 1.3.272.0. You just have to check the size and date of the 'LegitCheckControl.dll' file.

strange, i ran microsoftupdate today (04/22) and never got a WGA update. system32 dir still has legitcheckcontrol.dll @ version 1.5.512.0. wonder why i havent gotten the update (i have a OEM copy of windows and it is legit)

 In bottom right corner of the taskbar the icon is still there which is called "you may be a victim of software counterfeiting".  Is there any way I can get rid of this? The patch didn't seem to work.

HEllo everyone, I am the victim of pirated Xp! I have got Windows Xp media center SP2. I have already valiated my XP with the pirated patch. There is no any legitdll file to replacewith. When I pasted the given dll , it doesn't seem to be working. What should I do to re-patch with WGA.
Please help me dudes!!!!
