It DOES work! All you have to do is a search for the LegitControlCheck.dll on your PC! Make sure that when you search use advanced search and look in hidden folders and at hidden files and where ever you see a LegitControlCheck.dll on your PC (Obviously not the one that you have just downloaded!!!) replace it with the new version 1.5.530.0 and Bob will be your Uncle!

Get a firewall because I've noticed the legit check periodicaly tried to connect to microsoft,all you have to do is block it,and at windows update all it sees is you have downloaded it,and it wont try to install it again.

Once installed a restarted the f'king blue star goes away,and you can download updates.

To get rid of the nag screen telling you Windows is not legit c:/windows/system32 then you see see WGA Tray drag to desktop and delete then restart windows nag screen is gone peace!!!!!!!

it use to be under windows just after system file & before tasks file, but it's not there anymore!!

This was posted about a week ago, and yesterday my computer did the update, however, it seems to not work. Ive tried several times, nothing happened. Ive also tried previous releases, no avail. Any newer releases? I know it was recently released, but...hmmm...any other ideas?
