Windows Live Messenger 8.1 is an update to version 8.0 that contain key bug fixes as well as a few new features.
What are the new features?
* Improved Vista Compatibility
* New Personal Expressions UI (Winks and Emoticon menus, etc)
* New Personal Status Message options
* A new branding platform
* Improved re-authentication at sign in
* Roaming display pictures
* New platform architecture in key areas such as automatic updates and object store (where your personalized data is kept on your computer)

8.1 is better than 8.0 because 8.1 messenger has a better connection with Windows Live. I am looking forward to having a final version. I will definitely download it.

Does anyone know how to make it work with windows 2000? (WLM 8.0) I try and try modifying the program with XVI32 but installation begins normally and when it ends makes a rollback action, my brain is one step to explode :(
And I have been looking for in forums but nothing about that, seems like nobody cares.
