Becareful that it sorta opens the svchost and can cause 100% use. Dunno why they have to rely on windows update for WLM >_>

it's gonna be beta for a very long time. the final i heard is expected to come out at the end of the year.

I m using XP pro sp2.

Just to add I have Windows Live Messenger V8.1.0178 installed.

i also ran with an installation problem on windowsxp sp2 ,windows live installer prompted with a failiure code 0x800736b1
