^rotflmao, if its not working for you, its either your computer sucks, you need to format, or your just too damn stupid to use it.

hahaha, im an official tester, i know the issues this program has, none of which are crash bugs... unless of course,.. you haven't updated your flash player for the last decade

My pc is up to date, and the problems with WLM are known for everybody that used it. just search the web and get a life

sorry, i don't need a life, THERE ARE NO, OUTSTANDING STABILITY ISSUES, with the final release of 8.1, i would know because i helped stamp out the majority of them.

if you are having issues, make sure your Flash 9 is properly updated, and you are using Java SE 6

8.1 works with Vista as long as you have Flash 9r22 or higher installed.

It's well known that the issues are fixed with Live Messenger 8.1 Final..

One major bug is with the Appear Offline feature where instead of receiving the chats while u or ur friend are appear offline you receive short incomplete email messages like "Hey" and "I'm fine", etc... Each message is sent with a blank subject line and the chat content as the content of the email. I'm not an official tester but I'm a long time user :p.

This is not a problem with messenger, i can stay signed in for up to 3 days at a time with no issue, so there are no issues with random signouts, unless your net connection is unstable and disconnects without you noticing it,.. that is a common problem with cable and adsl as the modem prevents the use from noticing it.

the offline messaging thing though

is a random problem, its not the program itself, its the server, we have been working for months with the server support team to iron out that issue and we have got it mostly fixed, i myself recieve offline messages with no issues, but i did have some during the final days of the1 testing.

If you are still getting issues, please contact the server support team, also, if you want i can drop you my email so i can get you in touch with support via messenger.

Samour50 you are right! totally agree with you. And sometimes do not load all the contact list removing a lot of contacts or sometimes used to hung my broadband connection forcing me to reboot my pc.
WLM looks good, but doesn't work well

this is an issue with your connection, not the program.

make sure your ports are setup properly.

this is also a result of a person exiting messenger while the contact cache is synching, people with alot of contacts and a slow to medium connection it can take along time for the synching to finish.

PC Hanging is a result of not having the latest Flash 9 in xp and vista, also it is related to using an older version of Java SE 5.

as i have said, i beta test this, i know of the few bugs that exist, none of which are crash bugs, unless they are coupled with another issue.

if you truly do have bugs and you can reproduce them easily, Pass them onto me and i will have a few members of the beta group run through the scenario, if we can reproduce it, we'll submit it to the feedback when the 8.5 beta period begins in a few.

the reason it is beta is because it is currently in development,.. we have not recieved access to the 8.5 beta builds yet and some of us already have logged some issues with it, such as the fact its not compatible with older apps unless a regfix is installed
