Whether you are a full time blogger or you are just blogging as a hobby, we all have a need for the same thing: an easy to use blog editor to publish our entries from. Luckily, Microsoft recognized this need for a What You See is What You Get (WYSIWYG) blogging tool and delivered in the form of Windows Live Writer.
Welcome to the world of blogging indeed. Windows Live Writer makes editing and publishing blog entries so easy and user friendly that anyone can do it. When setting Writer up, there are just a few steps to get your blog rolling with the software. First, you select your type of blog from the list of available services. This is what is currently compatible with Windows Live Writer:
- Windows Live Spaces - Blogger - LiveJournal - TypePad - Wordpress - All blogs that support RSD (Really Simple Discoverability) - Metaweblog API - Moveable Type API
They are working on making virtually all blog types compatible with Writer, so if you do not see your type on the list, do not despair, it may be coming soon.

I was looking forward to this tool.
I did an one sentence entry first as a test and that went fine so I wrote a normal entry which is kinda long with the new photoframe effect from the side and all.
I've been trying for a few hours now everytime I click on publish entry it gives me this "Network Connection Error".
Not very impressed

Yes... it is because of this socket server and ther isn't much to do to increase your speed. Doesn't the firewall at yout inst. block only incomming requests? If so then you ca use BT without a problem.

i dont know much about the firewall but i can tell u that i cant get more than 10 kb/s either by using free service of http-tunnel or your freedom.so please suggest sum alternative to dld thru bittorent using socks server or nething else plz @3M

although it is information, i don't find much use in these tools. Do you? anyway, i didn't mean any offence.
