After the torrent "warmed up" I'm averaging about 130 kB/s.  Does anyone know if a key is needed or how long it lasts before it expires?

Is anyone seeding this? I'm connected to plenty of peers and getting decent speed off them, but it's going to be tough to finish the file with no seeds...

Please seed!! there are somewhere around 1500 peers and not a single seed!

My client only sees 70 peers at the moment, but the number keeps rising.  And it detects 0 seeds... and it's only going at 2kbps.  How many people actually have a large portion of the ISO downloaded?

does that activation fix REALLY works?!!?  Anyone try yet and forward their clock like 3 months to see if they can still log in?

Download a bitorrent client. There are a lot of freeware clients. I use utorrent and have had no problems with it. Vista is downloading at a good speed.

I noticed a lot of sniviling about Vista and the slow speeds. Think for a moment. 2500 peers with none over 65%. This tells me that there is one person, with one disk that has access to a huge amount of bandwidth, letting those that know how do the heavy field testing of this work.

Folks are going to be blown away by the stuff M$ has done with windows.

The problem M$ has, and I suspect the repeted delays are from is this.

The average Joe's machine will NOT run Vista. Plain and simple.

Last generation OEM machines just don't have the power, so M$ will work with the OEM to create the incentive necessay to generate revenues.

With Vista and the current litigation wino's grabbing a nickel for a song like some skid row bum, I figure 5 years from now Vista will rule the web with such verocious self generated control that the web as we know it will simply be gone.

The AI/CAD use of intuitive application and control will allow only those that know how it works to draw wages.

XP took us a couple of years to refine and corp/Devils Own is still the basic platform of all XP machine in the world. That is very impressive work indeed.

With Vista there is more at stake. Those nickles that those heartless lawsuit crazed bunch of adolesent cry babies wine about, and using THEIR figures, that security has become the issue. Not Your security, theirs.

Anybody the has worked in depth with the longhorn/vista project have seen tools and applications incorporated that are simply awsome. No Joke.

Only us folk who were there got the free XP no strings attached, still working 2600 version.

i try to disable the Software Licensing and UI services and it work because it didnt ask me to activate after 14 days... but it seems to me i cant do anything.  Explorer.exe froze a lot, and I can't open any folder or songs!!  :(  basically it got locked afterwards :(

I was able to download the whole Vista Build 5342 file (Vista_5342_32bit_Main_Staged_DVD_EN.iso.torrent). But what should I do now to get it  to run?

Burn it to a DVD has a iso DVD.

ok.... downloaded file works ok. BUT IT SAYS ITS GUNNA EXPIRE IN 13 DAYS!!!!! OMG.. i tried that rapidshare thingy patch still dosnt work. i tried the msconfig thingy too! but it doesnt stop the notification of the 13 days expiration!!! PLZ SUMONE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeh, i have tried a few parts of the file, i have managed to install windows defender so something must be right.

I think sharebear is talking about a legal way of activation
