i have original xp cd without any service pack. is this including all the packs sp1 and sp2 or i must also download sp1 and sp2 then must install this one ?

you only need to install SP3 it has all the missing loop holes and once you have installed it you will have maximum sercurity this has all the pacthes and fixes from SP1 & SP2 so no need to download SP1 & SP2 okay.

the core system file (kernel) used to start this computer is not a Microsoft windows file.
the service pack will not be installed.

ive uninstalled "tuneup utills" there is not kernel = switch to remove (from google stuff)

im now on the standed theme set for windows, and it still wont install

All you had to do is goto Tune Utilities>Styler2>Bootscreen> and then set it to the Windows Default.

I had this same problem, but then I thought about it and changed to the default bootscreen, restart and then all was fine.

ok i got it working, i had to riendstall tuneup utills then reset my boot up logo and theme back to orignal XP, as when i uninstalled it, it didnt do it ;p

No problem. I probably should of been more clear, but I'm a bit busy writing a paper and at the same time I'm trying to find anything and everything to distract me.

After it's done would you mind going to task manager>Help>About Windows and the post what version this is...I'm thinking it's still 3244, but why release it to the public without a refresh?...

after getting past that first one, here comes another one...

it was installing... at the end of the install bar it came up with another error box saying "access denied" then did the roll back... giving me another error saying some thing like "did the roll back xp might not work properly"

What was denied? Maybe you should like...go into Safe Mode and install it. That way nonessential progs (including Antivirus) won't be running and you shouldn't be accessing any progs during the install anyways.

The only reason why I've been using the beta version and now the RC version of SP3 is because WinXP became unstable on my machine. I reformatted and installed the 70+ updates and yet my system was still crashing.

SP3, as it turns out, was the answer. I've been on the same copy of WinXP since 3188 was it? All you have to do is Add/Remove Progs>Remove SP3 and then update to the new one.

i had to do a system recovery and now all my stuff has to be re-installed!

my computer was completely up to date and i dont understand why this sp3 messed it up?

i would advise nobody to install this bullshit.

Installing a Service Pack can often require a PC spe***t. If you do not know your windows, software, drivers and hardware inside out, then I recommend not doing it yourself. Or at least not complaining when things dont work.

v.3244 is old, i got it for months.
u can slipstream but for updates u need a valid vlk key. the one from students xp version works.
u need vrmpvol iso.
