Hi I Have OEM XP Pro Which I Bought But Have Activated It Too Many Times. I Use To Use The Modified Winlogon.exe & Reg Edit File To Activate It But It Don't Work For SP3 :-(
I Don't Want To Spend Ages Each Time Calling India To Activate It By Phoning Microsoft Each Time. Is There A Newer Modified File/s To Work With The New SP3?

DailyTech reported earlier today that Windows XP's third service pack was ready for full deployment via Windows Update, as promised by Microsoft. However, in an eleventh hour move sure to draw criticism, the service pack was yanked by Microsoft and will not be released on April 29th as previously promised.

To everyone looking for a multilingual release,

This is not necessary, all you need to do is download the english version, then slipstream it into your XP SP1 CD, (SP1 is preferable, else the iso gets too big) then just run a repair install of windows, and your all set, you'll need to install a few drivers again but its namely for drivers like Video, SPTD and Virtual devices.

OK it works, successfully integrated in XPSP2 installation and deployed,testing it as we speak...

RTM is final, it is just not publicly available, if that is what you ment.

There is allready 1 update for SP3 allready :) . Weee :D

OK People. Here is the ho down on the low down.

The final will not be released on MS Site or Updates untill they fix 1 more major bug they just found efecting xp,vista sp1 & server 2008.

So any Iso will not have this fix.
Also there is talk of a slipstreaming issue where lisence type plays up.

I WOULDNT ACCEPT ANYTHING NEW UNTIL ITS TRIED AND FOUND TO BE TRUE. This has the same KB article as the offical Microsoft release that came out today.

The hotfix will be distrributed via autoupdate BEFORE you get SP3 ... and it's actually not a hotfix but a filter, so SP3 will ONLY if RMS is not detected.

The final version is still 5512, nothing has changed. This is still the very same file if you downloaded the installer from Microsoft today.
