Microsoft is allowing Windows XP Service Pack 2 machines to be offered Windows XP Service Pack 3 Release Candidate 2 via Windows Update. You may also download standalone update packages for Windows XP SP3 RC2, in English, German, and/or Japanese. Windows XP Service Pack 3 will be offered on Windows Update when Service Pack 3 releases in the first half of 2008.

Actually, on the M$ site, it does say it was released 3/6/08...so this might be a new version?
Maybe it includes the DST update...assuming the last didn't...

Somebody's f-cking with you guys again. I downloaded the service pack and extracted the contents into a desktop folder. You will find an IE link inside that directs you to the service pack 2 home page...

actually hairbutt. all they did was update links on ms site. The RC2 is still v3311 and has the same md5 checksum. So, if you have 3311 already, you do not need to download the same file again.

Didn't find any service pack 3 download on windows update either. I'm gonna stick with 3264 until they release the real thing...

cousinkix1953, in order to see the 3311 beta in windows update, you have to do a reg patch to have it listed on windows updates. Follow the link to ms site and you will see that it clearly says this. Reading is your friend.

I don't know for you people, but when I downloaded Service Pack 3 from www.microsoft.com and integrated into the WinXP and install OS again, system works great! Even better!!!
