X Codec Pack is not just another codec pack. Just the most used (popular) codecs are included (see below). If you are looking for a big pack with lots of codecs, filters, tools, this is the wrong place. Lots of codecs can mess up your Windows. Media player classic is already in xp. I bet all the codecs cause mp10/11 issues.

Things to ask for when buying a pc,
A COPY OF THE INSTALLED OPERATING SYSTEM (E.G. XP-SP2) Or recovery disk A copy of any office package or encarter etc. Mobo driver cd+Manual Vga driver cd +Manual LCD Monitor driver cd +Manual HDTV Card driver cd +Manual Modem driver cd +Manual
Every single component in the pc should have these things with it.
