My windows XPcrashed after installation. After the welcome screen it wold say ati2evxx.exe and winlogon.exe error and reboot again and again. Had to boot in safe mode and uninstall. Back to nod32 and windows firewall.
Any similar experiences or suggestions?????????

If you look on Zone Alarm's website their is no 7.0.302.000, and if you install the version of ZA Pro from here it says that you are downgrading.

I prefer to wait till Zone Alarm release the official version from their website, rather than add points to the accounts of all the point collectors and spammers on here.

The same goes for Any DVD, Why install a Beta and make your PC unstable? It's probably the Count & his team of Vampires uploading the crap to put you off.

I agree with T-101, I dont see it on the ZA site yet, I mean no disrespect but I will wait till I see it on their own site.

I have NEVER had that prob b4 and I have been using ZA for over 2yrs and I have installed it on loads of different Pc's and NEVER has it caused anything like that. Did you fully remove any previous anti-viruses? I recommend Zone Alarm, its fricking awesome !

By the way I think this version has still the bugs of previous versions
loads 99% of memory
and puts every program I open with ?? ?? in the program control even if I disable the options from the "program control/os firewall"

Version 6.1.744.001 works better I think

I've never been able to get zone alarm to work properly on my computer in the last 5 years. I gave up ever trying to
install it and wouldn't take it even if it were free.

And what firewall uses less what ZoneAlarm?. Outpost Pro for example cause lag in your connection, you ever clearly notice it if you connect with Outpost to a server using mIRC, this not happen with ZoneAlarm.

ZoneAlarm have much bugs in a concrete versions but if you find a good version is a dream, a good stable version is 6.5.737. Other good firewall is Comodo Firewall but it need much more work for really compare it to the king ZoneAlarm. Exist much good firewalls but for sure Norton Internet Security and McaFee Firewalls not are good firewalls/products, in concrete the Norton crap. Kasperski Internet Security(aka kis) *probably* is other crap of firewall(and of antivirus), like Bitdefender.

ZA Pro v 7.0.302.000 has a lot of bugs and very slow during start up... i'll wait for the next version.
In the mean time am using Outpost Firewall Pro 4.0(2nd best firewall)
I will also want to try Comodo Firewall and Sygate Firewall.

Sygate is purchased by Symantec and is officially abandoned, more of 1 year without update it, but is a nice firewall in the past(much more good what the crap of Symantec named Norton Internet Security).

I don't want to say dirty words, but 7.0 is realy f**k, it totally break my system down!!! why don't the zonelabs guys fully test it before release? it's so irresponsible!!!

the 6.5.737.000 is stable.

I am using the security suite and it works great. It is not a beta! BTW, virus information provided by Kaspersky lab.

Windows Fiirewall is just a partial protection for your PC, you must use the best Firewall, like ZA, Comodo and Kerio.

I know that zonealarm 7 uses kaspersky's antivirus engine.

I had the version 6 and it slowed the startup is it the same with this version<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Some of my programs hang after I upgraded to ver.7.0.302.000.... going back to ver. 6.5.737.000.....

Same problem as "tortoise"....everytime I open Fantasy DVD Player "scanningprocess.exe" runs at 95% memory in the task manager and takes 5 mins to open. Don't know what ZA is scanning. Will revert back to 65.737
