My NOD32 just stopped updating itself.
I got a msg this morning from Windows Security Center saying NOD32 might be out of date. I checked the virus database with ESET online and mine hasn't updated for a few days now!
I've been using version 2.51.20 with nsane NOD32 FiX v2.1 and it's been sweet. Now it just totally stopped.
I uninstalled the fix and app, rebooted, downloaded a latest (dunno but since it's from their official website it should be the latest) fresh download of the app, reinstalled it, installed the FiX. Then I was shocked to find that it wouldn't even update its Jan virus database.
Everytime I went to press update in control center it gives me a msg saying "Your NOD32's update to date, no update necessary".
<Now that's inconsistant - I've been trying all afternoon and its been giving me that msg now it's actually doing it... wait... updated to the latest virus database successfully too>
JUST WONDER DOES NOD32 NEED A NEW MORE STABLE FIX?
In update tab (on right side) - click on setup - setup of automatic update will appear - Location - Server: chose automatically drop down menu - then chose servers from that list , one by one till you get your update. Dont uninstall nsane fix , its working , I receive all up to date updates with it. Curent is 1.1459

NOD32. And I am satisfied with it. It uses low PC resources, on an

AV software (except NOD32 which uses low resources as well), and I'm
looking forward for the final release to appear.

I use nsane NOD32 FiX v1.9, where can I download 2.1??
What antiviruses are good, I use NOD32 and if configured properly runs great.
used to use Kaspersky, but when version 5 came out, it become too much of a resource hog, so maybe when version 6 is out I'll give it another shot.
Also I hear, but haven't tested them yet, that AVG, Avast, and Bit Defender are best... anyone used them and have any realtime experience with them?
